About My Practice
With over 20 years as a social worker and therapist, I have a broad range of experience working in many different community settings including; residential treatment, public schools, parenting programs, community based mental health programs, and private practice. I have a deep understanding of how important emotional health is to people in all ages and stages of life.
My experience is grounded in attachment theory, developmental psychology, psycho-dynamics, trauma informed treatments, mindfulness-based approaches, play therapy and other creative approaches.
It might be helpful for you to know that I have received specialized training in Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), The Incredible Years (parenting program), Mindfulness Based Self-Compassion, Attachment Focused EMDR and am certified as an Early Childhood/Family Mental Health specialist.
