About My Practice
Kristine Young graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a degree in Criminology, Law, and Society and a minor in Political Science. While an undergraduate, Ms. Young was a teaching assistant for criminal law courses, volunteered her time as an investigative interviewer with the Orange County Public Defender, and worked for the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Young attended law school at Santa Clara University, where she received numerous awards and commendations for brief writing and oral advocacy.
Awards and Honors
While in law school, Kristine Young was an editor on the Law Review, worked for the Santa Clara Superior Court as a judicial intern, and competed on a national level representing the university in the prestigious National Moot Court Competition. During her time at Santa Clara, Ms. Young received the Pro Bono Service Award, and graduated with a Certificate in Public Interest and Social Justice.
Professionally, Ms. Young was honored with the Avvo Client’s Choice Award, the Rising Stars Award from Super Lawyers (2015-2020), and as a Northern California Super Lawyer (2021-2026). Ms. Young has also served as a member of the Family Law Executive Committee for the Sacramento Family Law Section, and is on the training team for SCDG.
